Ingredients
Chicken -250gm
Tomato-5nos
Cardamom-1
Garlic chopped -2 tbsp
Butter -3tbsp
Fresh cream -3tbsp
Kashmiri Chilly Powder-1tsp
Ginger julienned 1 tbsp
Green chilly -3
Cardamom powder- 2 pinch
Oil-for frying
Water-2cup
Kasurimethi powder- 1/2tsp
For marination
Chilly powder-1tsp
Corinader powder-1 tsp
Cumin powder-1/4 tsp
Garam masala-two pinch
Yogurt-2tbsp
Lime juice- few drops
Salt- to taste
Ginger garlic paste-2tbsp
Method
Cut the boneless chicken pieces in to medium strips.Marinate the chicken pieces with the above mentioned ingredients and keep aside for minimum one hour .In between heat 2tbsp of butter and saute cardamom and mace for 1 minute in low flame .Then add chopped garlic and medium sized tomato pieces.cook well..when cooked wait for this mix to get cool..after the mix gets cool,grind to a fine paste..using a seive drain the purée and keep aside..
Shallow fry the chicken pieces by closing the pan .otherwise the chicken become very hard .
Heat butter and add ginger pieces and green chilly slits.(deseed the chilly and cut into lengthwise).Saute for one minute and then add tomato purée and water ,combine well.Cook in medium flame for 15minutes.Then add Kashmiri chilly powder,cardamom powder and salt.Stir well again cook for 5 minutes.Now add the fried chicken pieces and fresh cream ..Combine all together very well..Check the salt ..Cook until the gravy thickens and by this time the sourness will be gone goes..If u want u can add sugar also
.Here I added 1 tsp of sugar..Its not a must ..But it will def increases the taste
..Finally add kasuri methi powder..So the very delicious butter chiken is ready to serve.
Note : The amount of cream and masala powders can be change according to ur personal taste ..
